Recent Opportunities
Chicago Master Singers is pleased to hire an arts management intern during the 2025–26 school year, thanks to funding provided by the Illinois Arts Council’s Youth Employment in the Arts (YEA) initiative. The intern will work closely with CMS staff, contractors, and volunteers on operational and administrative responsibilities that support the organization. This position reports to the Managing Director. It is a part-time, hourly position with flexible hours.
Position Summary
CMS would like the position to be meaningful to the intern, so it will be tailored to the intern’s skills and career interests. The role will be built based on the intern’s selected combination of the following potential items:
  • Assist with marketing operations, including the creation of social media content and developing and implementing a digital marketing strategy.
  • Work on Audience Services projects, including ticketing, box office, and house management.
  • Assist with venue setup, A/V needs, and hospitality for outreach events, auditions, rehearsals, concerts, and fundraising events.
  • Lead the development of a CMS podcast, including software and equipment needs, recording work, and video production and editing.

This a hybrid position paying $15/hour and averaging 8 hours/week, although the work is anticipated to be variable (for example, the weeks of CMS concerts would likely be busier than other weeks). The intern should be available to work at CMS events in Palatine (Monday evenings) and Glenview (concert weeks and weekends); additional work during the week can be done remotely.
